When the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem was in initial development, LVSC explored existing problem gaming resources in Pennsylvania and found few were dealing with the issue. To fill this void, LVSC partnered with the Council on Compulsive Gambling of Pennsylvania (CCGP) to create training seminars on responsible gaming, which have now been attended by nearly 1,200 professionals to date.
LVSC continues to work with CCGP, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and the community to make responsible gaming a focus in the Commonwealth. In fact, for "a demonstrated outstanding commitment to social responsibility", CCGP recently nominated Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem for the Corporate Social Responsibility Award from the National Council on Problem Gambling.
