In Southern Nevada, LVSC has partnered with the Problem Gambling Center and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The Problem Gambling Center is an outpatient clinic helping problem gamblers regardless of financial situation. Led by Dr. Robert Hunter, who helped found the clinic in 1998, this outreach has helped thousands of problem gamblers and their families change their lives. Currently, two LVSC team members serve on the clinic's board.

Through its International Gaming Institute, UNLV is a research partner of The Venetian and The Palazzo. Under the leadership of Bo J. Bernhard, PhD., the Director of Gambling Research, LVSC initiated through its relationship with Harvard industry-leading research into people's attitudes toward responsible gaming messaging. We are excited as the relationship between LVSC and UNLV grows, and look forward to continuing to help problem gamblers.

“We in Southern Nevada have long admired the pioneering efforts of Dr. Miriam Adelson in helping those with addictive disorders, and we have all seen the fruits of this commitment through her clinical efforts in the community's most desperate neighborhoods. It is clear that Las Vegas Sands' commitment to responsible gaming continues this noble legacy, as they seek to address this important issue through research-based initiatives wherever they do business.”
